POSITION SUMMARY The Peri-Operative Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing leadership and patient care and advocacy within the inter-operative and endoscopic procedures performed within Surgical Services. This position shall ensure safe, efficient and cost effective delivery of care consistent with established AORN standards, departmental policy and nursing practice. The peri-operative nurse will perform both direct and indirect nursing care to patients not limited to the functions: OR pre-operative nursing assessments and implementing OR plans of care; circulating RN leadership and coordination of technologist; instrumentation and supply coordination; scrubbing, room turnovers and when applicable first assist duties. In addition, the Peri-Operative RN is responsible for billing and inventory depletion constantly promoting efficient cost effective use of equipment and supplies. Compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, departmental and regulatory compliance is an important aspect of performing safe, high quality patient care, while promoting overall efficiency and success of Surgical Services. Delegated additional duties and project work to ensure the successful completion of departmental goals and objective shall be expected. Finally, this position reports to the Director of Surgical Services and shall work closely with Surgeons and Anesthesia, the Medical Director of Peri-Operative Services and Patient Care Coordinators. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Prior operating room experience preferred. License/Certificates: Current Minnesota RN license. American Heart Association BLS certification. American Heart Association ACLS certification required within 4 months of hire. Independently performs the duties of circulating nurse including developing OR nursing care plans, accurate monitoring, positioning, prepping, bandaging, technical coordination of equipment and providing nursing leadership within the OR and/or procedure rooms. Completes timely, accurate and thorough nursing documentation including inter-operative documentation, patient health status and associated plans of care. Accurately and timely documents purchasing and procedural information for billing and depletion of materials and supplies. Performs, verifies and documents the completions of "time outs" for all procedures. Demonstrates responsibility - independently taking associated evening and weekend call, responding timely and appropriately to call/urgent and emergency cases in accordance with department protocols. Prepares sterile field including assisting in setting up by opening sterile packs, instrumentation and completing appropriate counts in accordance with departmental protocols and AORN standards (RN scrubs only). Independently performs the duties of scrub nurse or assists the surgeon as directed while maintaining and supervising the integrity of the sterile field.

POSITION SUMMARY The Palliative Care/Hospice Manager is a registered nurse who is responsible for program development and the administrative and operational aspects of the Palliative Care and Hospice Program. Maintains awareness of services that Medicare or other insurance will cover for Occupational Therapy services and consults with patient, physician, family, or legal guardian regarding expenses. Maintains the Pharmacy Department in a clean and orderly manner. Performs other pharmacy-related duties as requested or required. Demonstrates ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various physician orders ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations. Demonstrates ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Demonstrates ability to deal with problems involving several variables in particular situations. Recognizes inappropriate dosing based on available dosage forms for various age groups. Performing a Can-Do Spirit while other duties may be assigned. Compounded Sterile Preparations:  Demonstrates knowledge and skill ensuring that pharmaceutical preparations are sterile, properly packaged, labeled and stored, and not outdated. Ensures compliance with USP. Low-risk compounding:  The applicable media-fill test will be performed and passed annually, after the initial training and media-fill test is completed and passed. Medium-risk compounding:  The applicable media-fill test will be performed and passed annually, after the initial training and media-fill test is completed and passed.

POSITION SUMMARY Registered Nursing Assistants are an essential part of the nursing team. They provide direct care for residents that are consistent with each resident’s plan of care and provide a “homelike” environment for the resident. Registered Nursing Assistants must continually work toward the achievement of the goals of CRMC. Quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant training program and competency evaluation within four months from the date of employment. License/Certificates: Active certification with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry preferred.  Candidate may prove that he or she has recently successfully completed an approved training program and has not yet been included in the registry or in a training and competency evaluation program approved by the State of Minnesota. Special Skills and Aptitudes: Effective interpersonal skills - building a positive relationship with residents, coworkers, and others. Understand the best practices used in providing personal care for residents. Able to practically apply knowledge of infection prevention, safety principles, and proper procedures to work situations. Demonstrate care and compassion in all interactions. Capable of following and carrying out verbal and written instructions. Proficient observational and reporting skills. Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the direct care of residents assigned to him/her in collaboration with and under the guidance of the licensed nurse. Provide care for each resident in a manner that protects and promotes dignity, privacy, self determination, and resident rights. Offer and respect resident choices in matters of daily routine. Refer to resident by name of his/her choice Report significant resident data and changes in condition to the licensed nurse. Attend 12 hours of training each year. Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines. Monitor physical environment for safety or fire hazards.  Correct and/or report problems immediately. Demonstrate all job tasks with a Can-Do Spirit while other duties may be assigned.
